Here we go! A cross breed thread!

The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful.

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales of your horses, or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

This is also *not* a chat topic...Please keep that in mind. If it turns into one, I will be forced to close it down.

Thanks everyone

I have a lot of cross breeds default smiley xd but sadly, I'll be leaving the game. If anyone would like to play around with my crosses, PM me. And if you're interested in what I was doing, I'll say so! I was interested in a TB/paint crossed with teke that turned out to be a pretty versatile horse good in western competitions. The 3-breed crosses are pretty neat!

I am considering trying out cross-breeding. I also have plenty of fine Stallions that I would be more then happy to cover with a mare of someone that is cross-breeding. I might even try out cross breeding myself.

By Retired breeder, 6th July 2013 01:18:55
I try to stick with only having 2 breeds in a horse so they're half & half. I have three Knab/Fresians, three Nokota/Fresians, an Appaloosa/Akhal-Teke, a Quarter Horse/Akhal-Teke, an Mustang/Akhal-Teke, an Argentinean Criollo/Thoroughbred, and one Nokota/Thoroughbred/Fresian cross.
Most happen to be colts, but I plan to use them for showing and breeding
By Retired breeder, 7th July 2013 22:20:09
on the au server i bred a shettie and a teke together and they made a great showjumping/crosscountry horse so i think i might do it on this server
