I think the QH / Knab cross would turn out very well, might be a little low in trot still but that's not too hard to fix.
|
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2015 18:32:44
yeah I thot so... how would I fix that exactly? and would the QH x Knab breed well to my TB x Hano?

If the jump is high enough, you could try a Friesian - that way you keep the high GP.

I just bred a Fri x TB it came out quite nice |
By Retired breeder, 28th February 2015 00:56:13
ok so I found this out quite on accident. I bred a hanno to a fri for a future project and am now bluping her and she is awesome at cutting! ive only entered her in 3 random cutting comps and she won all 3! so that's a great cross for those who want cutting horses
|
I thought at plus tb would be good

I've found that mix to do pretty well with comps in general |

Is it possible to completely breed out the second breed of a horse if you continually breed the line to purebred stallions? And eventually end up with a purebred horse? I've been curious about this for a long time!
|
By Retired breeder, 9th April 2015 18:27:15
No it will never return to a purebred. There will always be 1% of the secondary breed.

Greetings,
I was wondering, can you actually breed a pony to a horse in this game? That seems like an obvious yes, but can you? And if so, what results do you get? Thanks for your help. -Aslan the Lion |

Same rules apply to horse/pony breedings. The foal will be that of the father if a 50/50 cross or it will be the breed with the highest percent if a multicross.

Anyone know about, or have any experience, with Friesian and QH 50/50 mixes? I've been toying with this idea but don't want to waste a cover if it's a dud.

Quarter Horse and Friesian is an excellent mix and does very well for trail class competitions Here's my cross of it: http://ca.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=1411907

I used to be huge into breeding crossbreds. I've been out of it for a while now though and have just produced one, so am looking for help as to what everyone thinks he will excel most at. I'm on my phone so cannot post a link to him, so I'll post his stats.
Name: Titanium Alloyd Breed: 1/2 Fresian, 1/4 QH, 1/4 Hanoverian, 1/4 Akhal-Teke Stamina: 298.38, Gallop: 187.23 Speed: 227.58, Trot: 148.47 Dressage: 333.31, Jumping: 187.35 Total: 1382.34 |

What could be good if you cross breed a high star Friesian with a high star Thoroughbred would that work out?
What advantages would I have with that type of crossbreed and what competitions would it be good at? Thanks, Jaycee |
By Retired breeder, 24th April 2015 00:28:05
That would have top skills of Stamina, Speed and Dressage *most likely*, depending on the GP difference between the two. It would be good for most comps (gallop, trot, sj, reining, cutting, wp)
