Hello all my name is Rukous (Ruckus)
I'm a 21-year-old female from Canada who has been riding horses since i was 3 and a half years old. been around them all my life and never stopped loving them no matter how long it has been since I've been in the saddle. I'm a college student who just graduated from Pre-Health Science and in January will be going to school for Practical Nursing. I previously had an account on here but because of school and family I didn't get on much and apparently after 180 days of no activity your account gets deleted. who knew... so I'm back and hoping to get back on track with my breeding of QH and thoroughbreds. and possibly some donkeys. My avatar is a picture of my new recently purchased Morgan POA cross gelding hence my name of Rukous.
I owned a Standardbred bay mare for about 8 years, I got her when she was 7 and about 6 months before her 15th birthday she suddenly passed away on me. November 26, 2016. Her name was Phoenix but everyone in the barn called her Moose for how big she was and honestly at times she looked like a moose. She was 17.1 Hands tall and ALL legs. she was the best thing to ever happen to me. about 5 years before she passed she did something to her left eye and over time slowly went blind in that eye but it never stopped her. although the 700 bucks to fix her eye went to waste. She had been trained to race (Sulky) but she never made the cut, probably because of her lankiness and she wasn't exactly what I would call a Coordinated horse... I had her re-trained to trot and she did the odd cross rail but she was mainly just for me to go out and pamper and ride whenever as a pleasure horse. ain't all about that show life. It's been almost 2 years since she left me and I'm still incredibly sad about it but I knew it was time to get back out there so... on April 1st I welcomed a gorgeous Morgan/POA cross gelding into my life. His name is Rukous. He just turned 7 on April the 4th and he currently is not broke but hoping he will be within the next few months. He crossties a lot better than when he came and also is a lot better on the lounge line :) he is only 13.3/14 Hands tall so a tiny sucker but he's a mighty thing. i guess we fit well together. slowly getting to know each other slowly he knows I keep treats in my left pocket, I think I'm just considered the treat lady now but were connecting
Now On to my purpose for my account. I will be mainly breeding High-end Quarter horses, and Thoroughbreds, as well as donkeys and a few draft horses as well.
I am currently working on building up my main breeding pairs so that I get the highest genetic potential possible. ALL my Horses are Pure breeds. Pure QH and PURE OTTB.
A few horses have low GP due to I have specifics that will higher my chances of getting rare coat colors.
So far only my QH and Donkey breeding operations are in swing but soon will add in my OTTB.
