What determines the increase in a foal's genetic potential compared to the average genetic potential of its parents?

Foal GP is dependent on these factors:

Parents GP
- The closer the GP is to the best on server the smaller the increase. So with foundation GPs you might get approx 100GP increase per generation but at the very top you may only get 1 GP per generation. This gives new players a chance to catch up!

BLUP of the parents
- Higher the BLUP the closer to the maximum GP gain you will get in the foal. Both parents need +100BLUP at the time of breeding to achieve this

Chance
- There is a % variation built in to the GP (and skill distribution) inheritance in foals. So not all siblings will be the same. This allows for some limited selective breeding. As the potential gain is so much larger in low GP horses, you will see more variation in the GPs of offspring from lower GP parents
