New features

With the birthday page removed has the objective to congratulate someone on their birthday also been removed or replaced with something else?

That won't be necessary. For the objective is to congratulate a player—specifically, to visit their page and leave a congratulatory message. The player does not necessarily have to be celebrating a birthday.

It is great that the Herakles shoes for Western Pleasure have been fixed.

But why have the shoes for Reining now been broken? Reining still requires the sequence: Gallop – Dressage – Endurance. And NOT Gallop – Endurance – Dressage.

What on earth have Howrse done now, this new layout is awful.

Some of us have spent thousands of pounds playing a game we love, now I can't even look at the loading page, whoever decided this new layout was a good idea needs sacked!

Disgraceful

I'm not a fan of this sudden layout change; especially the partially transparent bar at the top that is always there.

It's annoying how the new semi-transparent/blurry header is always on the screen. It's very distracting. Please change the header so it doesn't scroll with you. I don't want it on my screen at all times. Also, I wish I could have continued to use the Howrse app without updating to the new version. Each time I opened the app recently, it just said I 'needed to update' or 'login error'. It's a shame, as the new app version is a real pain to use.

Not a fan of the new layout

Question: What is this even about?

Hello,

This topic is updated as new features are added to the game.

This latest update added a new feature that shows the number of items in your inventory when you give them directly from your horses page.

You can find all the details on the Dev’s Corner page.

Have fun playing Howrse!

Well done with the birthday present update

The new update letting us fill ECs with multiple horses at once is great and is going to save so much time!

But you know what else would save a ton of time? Updating the Helios' Ray and Golden Apple filters. Scrolling through hundreds of backgrounds and coats sorted only by color is honestly exhausting. Even with the ability to favorite certain backgrounds, there are just so many amazing pieces of artwork in there that it's impossible to only like a few, and the clutter stops me from wanting to use them sometimes. I often find myself just settling on a background rather than finding the one I actually want because it takes too much time to figure out. Plus, the color filters don't always work properly—I've tried finding specific coats or backgrounds I know exist by color before, and they just don't show up. It would be great if we could get landscape tags (like forest, deep sea, space, beach, abstract, etc.). It would also be amazing to see something similar done for Golden Apple coats as well, since there are themes they could be sorted by. It would make finding the perfect background and coat easier and fit perfectly with the new time-saving features!

The new background is dark and dismal. And personally, I do not want those awkward-looking horses on my own pasture. If you're going to change every player's daily experience, why not put it to a vote? Give us a choice.

Further to my previous message--the new background also makes any of my horses without a Helios' Ray look ridiculously small and insignificant.

While I appreciate the recent quality-of-life updates and time-saving features introduced to the game, moving the daily Privilege collections to a manual claim system in the Emporium feels like a step backward.

Howrse has made great strides in reducing unnecessary clicking for daily maintenance. Introducing a mandatory manual collection for rewards that previously arrived automatically adds tedious friction to our daily routines.

Because these privileges have been automated for so long, players are heavily conditioned to assume they are taken care of. Forcing us to remember a new, separate daily chore means many players will simply forget to collect them, missing out on rewards they earned or paid for. It feels counterintuitive to streamline the game in some areas only to add extra mental overhead and clicks to a baseline feature.

Please consider reverting Privilege collections back to an automated daily distribution, or adding a "Claim All" button within the Emporium to keep the gameplay loop smooth.

I don't understand why you would move a 200e privilege that has been automated since the beginning of time to something i have to manually click now.

I'm honestly going to forget it's even there. Is 200e a day really work making an action item in the game?

Please change it back, thanks.
